The baby Red Tail Hawks have hatched!  When I watched the nest in Montrose CO it was too high in the tree for me to see them when they were this little.  This nest is lower and I can zoom in with my camera and see the babies earlier in their life after hatching.   JoZee and I had a blast taking photos

Eagle's Nest Day County May 2020

There are many birds I take pictures of but the Bald Eagle just takes my breath away!  To find a nest is my dream and now I'll need to update the lens on my Nikon!! I was using two different Nikons with help my JoZee.  

He flew over me when I walked in a ways to try and get a better picture.  As you can see he is screeching at me.  I decided not to upset them and went back to car. 

I think that is mud in the talons for the nest

I was sitting a long ways from the Eagles.   My zoom is pretty good on camera.

This year I didn't get out to visit the Hawk nest too often.  Today I went and there is only one.  I watched and waited but it must've not been flying yet as it just walked around the nest.   Maybe there was more than one and the other one is flying already.  This baby Red Tail Hawk is about 5 weeks old.  One photo is MOMMA watching.
